Sales to consumers residing in France are governed by French consumer law, in accordance with Article 6 of Regulation (EC) No 593/2008, known as "Rome I".

Article 2 — Purpose

These general terms and conditions govern all sales concluded on this site. Any order implies their unreserved acceptance.

Article 3 — Products

Our items are described with the greatest accuracy. The photographs are as faithful as possible; slight variations in shade may appear depending on your screen settings and do not engage our liability.

Article 4 — Prices

Prices are displayed in the currency selected at the time of ordering, applicable taxes included. Shipping is free, with no minimum spend, to the free-shipping countries listed in our shipping policy; for the other destinations listed there, a CHF 16 shipping contribution is shown before payment. The total displayed when you order is the final price: no additional amount will be requested from you on receipt.

Article 5 — Order

The sale becomes final once payment is validated. A confirmation email summarising your order is sent to you.

Article 6 — Payment

Payment is made by bank card, digital wallet or PayPal, over a secure connection. We never have access to your full bank details.

Article 7 — Delivery

Your order is dispatched within 24 working hours of payment validation. Estimated delivery time: delivered in 4 to 9 working days, from payment validation to receipt, by express carrier, for mainland France, Belgium, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom and the United States. For Switzerland: 6 to 9 working days, as this country is not served by our express network. For other destinations, the delivery time depends on the carrier and is provided with your tracking number. In accordance with Article L216-6 of the French Consumer Code, in the event of delay you may terminate the contract if delivery does not take place within a reasonable additional period.

Article 8 — Right of withdrawal and returns

You have the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal from receipt (Article L221-18 of the French Consumer Code), without having to give reasons for your decision. We go beyond the statutory period and grant you 30 days. In accordance with Article L221-23 of the French Consumer Code, the direct cost of returning the product is at your expense. The product must be returned to us unworn and undamaged, in its original condition and packaging. See our return and refund policy.

Article 9 — Legal guarantees

All our products benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity (Articles L217-3 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, two years) and the guarantee against hidden defects (Articles 1641 et seq. of the French Civil Code). These guarantees apply independently of any commercial warranty.

The processing of your data is described in our privacy policy.

Article 11 — Complaints and disputes

These terms are governed by French law. Should any difficulty arise, write to us at contact@lafirkin.com: we acknowledge receipt within 24 working hours and undertake to seek an amicable solution.

If no amicable solution is found, you retain all of your rights. You may bring the matter before the competent court of your place of residence and use the out-of-court consumer dispute resolution schemes provided for by the law of your country of residence. Nothing in these terms restricts these remedies.
