Why €45 for one and €99.90 for another
Three things set the price, and none of them is arbitrary.
Size. The Mini measures 28 × 25 × 12 cm, while the Jelly Firkin is 35 cm wide by 27 cm high. Less material, less cutting and assembly work: that is the gap between €45 and €53.90.
Material. The translucent silhouettes are made of frosted TPU. Le Firkin is full-grain cowhide, leather-lined; Héritage is cowhide with an embossed reptile grain. Leather costs more than TPU, works more slowly and is checked piece by piece. Hence the €69.90 for Héritage and the €99.90 for Le Firkin, full-grain and leather-lined inside.
Complexity. A polka-dot tote or a beach stripe needs several shades assembled together, where a plain bag is a single piece. That is what puts Confetti, the Confetti Tote and the Riviera at €59.90 rather than €53.90.
What the price does not tell you: TPU is not PVC
This is the point a price list cannot show. Many cheaper jelly bags are made of PVC. Our translucent silhouettes are TPU, a thermoplastic polyurethane. Compared with PVC, TPU is softer, does not yellow, stays supple in cold weather instead of stiffening, and takes everyday abrasion far better. It is rain- and splash-resistant.
